Rules, Rules, Rules: Do You Have Permission to Dance at Ankeny Homecoming? (You May Need It)
If you're a guest, you'll need a permission slip.

So, you say you can dance?
Not at Ankeny High School's Homecoming if you're a guest without a pre-filed permission slip.
Permission is required for Homecoming guests, which includes the need for a signature from the principal of whatever school kids usually attend.

The school district says on its web site that the forms is required "in order to better assure safety and security at school dances."
A completed form must be returned to the AHS or SV office by noon of September 21, 2012. The Dance Guest Request Form is available to download.

Rules, rules, rules. Wouldn't be high school without them. Here they are:
1. No guest will be admitted the night of the dance without the permission form being on file.
2. Dance Guest permission form must be on file by noon the day before the dance.
3. All guests must sign in and provide proof of identity (ID) prior to being admitted into the dance.
4. Students and guests must follow the Ankeny High School Code of Conduct.
5. An Ankeny student may sign in one guest only. Do not bring dates for other students.
6. Problems with guests will result in the guest and the Ankeny student being removed from the dance and parents notified.
7. No student in grades 9 or below, nor any guest above 20 years of age, will be allowed to attend an Ankeny High School Dance.
8. Any guest not who is not an alumnus or a current high school student must have a driver’s license to be scanned through Ankeny’s verification system.
