The Saydel Eagles Land in Ankeny
This year we welcome the Saydel Community School District to the Ankeny Art Center's annual series of K-12 public art shows.

The Ankeny Art Center’s annual K-12 art exhibits have been part of an extended outreach programming for more than two decades. “This year we would like to welcome the Saydel School District to this annual event.” said Christina Catron, Assistant Director.
The Bondurant-Farrar K-12 exhibit just closed and the Saydel K-12 exhibit is now displayed in the gallery through March 11. The opening reception for the students is on Thursday evening, March 5 from 5-7pm. “The students take great pride in having their work shown publicly and visitors enjoy the beautiful artwork on display.” said Barb Vaske, Director of the Ankeny Art Center.
Saydel School Exhibit: Feb 24 - Mar 11 (reception on Mar 5, 5-7pm)
North Polk School Exhibit: Mar 17 - Apr 1 (reception on Mar 26, 5-7pm)
Ankeny Schools Exhibit: April 7 - April 29 (receptions on Apr 9 and 23, 5-7pm)
The colorful sculpture shown was created by Josie Stock in 9th grade Introduction to Art Class. Josie’s High School art teacher, Lindsay Delagardelle, was instrumental in bringing the Saydel student artwork to the line-up this year. Delagardelle also teaches K-8 Summer Art Camp at the Ankeny Art Center, is an independent artist and freelance graphic designer.
