South Ankeny Boulevard Traffic Shift To Begin June 19

As part of the continued construction of the High Trestle Trail Extension from SW Ordnance Road to SE Magazine Road project, the contractor plans to shift traffic from head-to-head in the northbound lanes of South Ankeny Boulevard to head-to-head in the southbound lanes on June 19, weather permitting. This shift will be in the vicinity of SW Ordnance Road. This new traffic pattern is expected to last through the middle of August. For the safety of the construction workers, drivers are encouraged to slow down through active construction zones.

The High Trestle Trail Extension from SW Ordnance Road to SE Magazine Road project includes the construction of a trail along the old railroad grade with a pedestrian tunnel under South Ankeny Boulevard.
