Southview Back on the Agenda of Special Ankeny School Board Meeting
The board will meet in a 5 p.m. special session tonight to hear a presentation on construction management. It also will discuss its options to finance the completion of Southview Middle School.

A pitch to hire someone to save the money in its facility construction plans will be heard at a special school board meeting tonight.
A special meeting was called for 5 tonight at the school district office. The first item on the agenda is a construction management presentation.
At the board’s regular meeting on Oct. 17, board member Todd Shafer said he believed the district needed to bring in a construction project manager to assess project costs and find out what can be cut to trim costs.

Also on the agenda is further discussion on how to pay for the completion of phase two of Southview Middle School.
At their last meeting, board members voiced concerns about putting a $15.6 million referendum before voters in February or April of next year. A majority said they believe a referendum would not be approve.
