Spinning Clay Creates an Artistic Atmosphere

A slab of wet clay spins between your hands and slowly begins to take the shape of a vase, a bowl, or a coffee cup.

Adult Intermediate Pottery Class is designed for students with previous clay experience and want to improve upon their works and skills. If you have experience throwing on the wheel and want to take it to the next level, this class is a great opportunity to practice and perfect your skills alongside other ceramic enthusiasts in an artistic atmosphere.

Continue your adventure in ceramics and discover new techniques while learning decorative and functional elements. The possibilities are endless as you take your clay creations to the next level. Discuss new techniques and design methods with our instructor and classmates. Students will also become more familiar with using the kiln and finishing techniques. Participation in this class will allow students to join the Art Club where you can practice your skills at your leisure in an open studio format.

The Ankeny Art Center is offering this Adult Intermediate Pottery Class from March 3 through April 14 which will meet once a week on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm. When students enroll for the six week course, the price includes the clay and materials. The class cost is $85 (members $68). If you have some clay experience and are tired of reality television on Tuesday evenings- here’s your opportunity!

Visit our website and register today at www.AnkenyArtCenter.com! Use the PayPal button on our website or print the form (and mail it to us with your check).
