Community Corner
Student Art Featured in Upcoming Exhibits
The Ankeny Art Center kicks-off February with an annual three-month series of K-12 art exhibitions from community area school districts.
Ingenuity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are all important components in today’s changing world. Learning to create and appreciate visual aesthetics is more important than ever to the development of our next generation of children as they grow up.
Familiarizing students with an art gallery also helps promote individual self worth, increased community involvement as well as promoting culture and diversity. The Ankeny Art Center has been promoting K-12 art exhibits for more than two decades. Don’t miss this year’s line-up of exciting art work from our local area schools!
