Stuff Etc Inc, the Midwest’s’s largest quality consignment super-store, announces its plan to open a new franchise store in Ankeny, Iowa, in August of 2013. Located at 901 E 1st St, the former Staples location, will feature new and gently used items that include, but are not limited to: furniture, adult through infant clothing and shoes, appliances, books, electronics, household items, sportswear and home décor. Stuff Etc plans to start accepting consignments as early as July 22, 2013 and will open the doors to shoppers around the second week in August of this year. The “Open to the Public” date is tentatively scheduled for August 15. The new franchise will operate under the same consignment super-store model that has been very successful in the current five locations. People moving, remodeling, upgrading, or cleaning out their closets can bring their items in to sell knowing they will be handled with complete care, professionalism and the expertise to help them get the best possible price for their items. Once their items sell, they get a percentage of the sale in the form of cash or store credit paid on request weekly or in one large sum. At the same time, Stuff Etc customers will find the latest fashions found at most mall stores and high-end designer brands, as well as quality furniture, items for the home and brand-new mattresses at a fraction of the original cost. Based in Coralville, Iowa, Stuff Etc stores have been well known throughout Eastern Iowa for more than 28 years. Stuff Etc is a consignment super-store that offers a one-stop shopping experience for all ages and lifestyles. “We’ve built a model for smart and responsible shopping by combining the convenience of a department store with a focus towards green consumerism,” said Mary Sundblad, owner of Stuff Etc Inc. “We make it easy for people to save money while incorporating ‘reuse and recycle’ in every area of their lives.” Stuff Etc has continued to grow throughout the last three years to five locations in Iowa. They are pleased to be expanding into the Ankeny area and opening their sixth super-store. Local owners Ben & Stephanie Potts will operate the franchise. “I’ve experienced the Stuff Etc business model first hand, working for the store in Coralville, and consigning my own items,” says Ben Potts, one of the store’s owners. “We’re excited to be able to open in the Des Moines market. We know there will be a lot of interest from area residents.” For more information and further details on this and other franchises, please visit the Stuff Etc website at www.stuffetconline.com and become a Stuff Etc fan on Facebook.
