Swing in to action with Ankeny Girls Softball

From the city of Ankeny:

Ankeny Girls Softball offers a summer/fall recreation softball program for girls 5-14 years old. Participants are divided into age divisions determined by the player's age as of December 31 of the league year.  

This recreational league focuses on the fundamentals of the game and stresses the importance of sportsmanship. Practices will begin in early August and games will be scheduled weekly starting mid August. Practices and games will be held on Tuesday/Thursday nights with the exception of the U12/14 group. They may be scheduled on Monday/Wednesday nights depending on field availability. Volunteer coaches are needed for this program.

Registration is available online at www.ankenyiowa.gov or you can sign up at the Parks and Recreation office, 210 S. Ankeny Blvd. The registration fee is $70 for residents and $75 for non-residents.
