TAI CHI CLASSES BEGIN !!!

**********Tai Chi classes begin NEXT WEEK - September 8 - Neveln Center Room 204********

Each session includes: warm up & cool down, six basic core movements and six advanced extension movements, with direction changes to add challenge. These are a series of gentle, graceful movements linked together in a continuous sequence with each movement flowing into the next. Tai Chi is referred to as Meditation in Motion. TAI CHI will help you: reduce stress, increase balance and flexibility, feel relaxed and improve your overall mind, body and spirit. (Please NOTE: this program is supported by the Arthritis Foundation and endorsed by the CDC as a “Fall Prevention” program.)

Classes will also include time doing QiGong -an ancient Chinese healing art involving meditation, controlled breathing, and movement exercises. One type of QiGong is “Shibashi” that is based on the philosophy of Tai Chi and extracts some of its best movements in a more stationary form.
