'The Amorous Ambassador' to Debut This Weekend at Ankeny Community Theatre

The production – a sequel to "The Sensuous Senator" – opens April 5 and runs through April 21.

Four years ago, Ankeny Community Theatre entertained audiences with the hit show The Sensuous Senator. Now, the troupe is preparing to delight audiences with the hilarious sequel, The Amorous Ambassador.

Harry is up to his old shenanigans again but this time as the Ambassador to Great Britain. Harry, wife Lois and daughter Debbie are each planning to have the county house to themselves for the weekend for a romantic rendezvous. Their butler, Perkins, is reluctantly drawn into the plans as each seeks his assurances of absolute discretion as they plot their love affairs. What follows is a case of mistaken identities, indiscretions and attempted infidelities.

The Amorous Ambassador opens April 5 and runs through April 21. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 and Sunday shows begin at 2:00. Tickets for adults are $15, seniors (60+) are $12 and students (ages 5 - 18) are $10. To reserve your seats, call 964-5007 and leave a message or email tickets@ankenycommunitytheatre.com.

Ankeny Community Theatre is located at 1923 SW 3rd Street in Ankeny. Karen Pederson is directing this show. This show contains adult material and is not appropriate for young children.
