Miracle Park's entry remained in the Top Ten with 2,735 total votes as of Monday, June 10th; only the Top Ten vote-getters make it into the finals when Facebook voting ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Saturday, June 15th.
Between now and then, all Facebook users can copy/paste the link below into their servers or go to Ankeny Miracle Park to find posts with the link -- click on the link, click to Vote, and your vote will be registered. Everyone can vote once every 24 hours between now and the close of the contest on June 15th.
Then on June 20th, the winner will be announced -- grand prize is $25,000 in playground equipment. Ankeny Miracle Park is the Miracle League Field and All-Inclusive Playground project; grading and utilities pipe installation are occurring now on the site, west of Terrace Elementary/behind Hy-Vee in Hawkeye Park. Over the summer, the field and a concession stand/building will be completed. As money is available, the playground will be installed -- so fundraising continues for that component of the project.
