What Grade Do You Give the City of Ankeny on Services?

From a City of Ankeny news release:

Within the next couple of weeks, 1,200 Ankeny households will be randomly selected to participate in Ankeny's biennial Citizen Survey. The survey is designed to assess public opinion about city services, programs, communication methods and to obtain critical input on the community's expectations.

A prenotification postcard will be mailed to selected Ankeny households on May 3, with the survey arriving one week later. The second wave of surveys will be mailed May 17. It will poll citizens on information ranging from quality of life, public safety, development, parks and recreation, economic development, infrastructure and leadership.

This year's survey includes a web option limited to only the households that are randomly selected to participate in the regular, mailed survey.

It is critical that citizens who receive the survey complete it either online or return it in the postage paid envelope provided. Responses will help guide public policy for the next two years. A final report will be presented to the City Council later this summer. Residents will be able to view results on the city website.

This is the City of Ankeny's sixth biennial citizen survey administered by The National Research Center of Boulder, CO. The survey results allow Ankeny to examine responses to established benchmarks, identify trends and compare its results with other like cities.
