Where to Find Harry Potter Author J.K. Rowling’s New Book in Ankeny
The new book, "The Casual Vacancy," is to be released later in September. Is it living up to the Harry Potter hype? Will you be able to find it in Ankeny?
Harry Potter may have vanished into the past, but author J.K. Rowling is still around, with her for-adults book, The Casual Vacancy, due out Sept. 27.
In Ankeny, you'll be able to find the book at Kirkendall Public Library, but be prepared for a long wait at this point.
"We have 10 copies on order and 45 holds at this point," said Joy King, reference and technical resources librarian at Kirkendall. "People have been requesting it for months and months, although it has not created the demand that he Harry Potter books did."
