Where To Take the Family for Ice Cream Monday Night

If the rain lets up, gather up the family and head to Summerbrook Park in Ankeny tonight for the city's second ice cream social of the summer.

The social will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. The park is located at Southeast Eighth Street and Delaware Avenue.

The city's Parks and Recreation board will host the events through September in the hopes of meeting Ankeny families. Ice cream treats will be accompanied with games for children.

5:30 to 7 p.m., July 29: Westwinds Park - SW Irvinedale and Woodland

5:30 to 7 p.m., Aug. 26: North Creek Park - NW 13th & Irvinedale Drive

5:30 to 7 p.m., Sept. 30: Somersby Park - SW Springwood and Goodwin
