📰 News we're reading

• Noise cameras spread across US cities for vehicle noise enforcement (dig.watch) — Avoca residents are part of a growing national experiment in automated vehicle-noise enforcement, with the city moving from a pilot to a full noise camera program targeting loud engine braking. The report compares Avoca's approach with other cities, explains how the cameras work, and raises broader questions about accuracy, privacy protections, and how long vehicle data may be stored and used.
