"A Lexicon of Looking: Mille Guldbeck" and "Line and Space: Stagings by Peter P. Goché"

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa Gallery of Art will present two new exhibitions featuring work by Mille Guldbeck and Peter P. Goché Monday, Sept. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 20. Guldbeck will give an artist's lecture at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, and Goché will lecture at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2. Artist's lectures will be presented in the Kamerick Art Building, Room 111. Receptions will follow each presentation.
Guldbeck received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa and is currently a professor of painting and drawing at Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio. She has been awarded numerous fellowships and artist residencies in the U.S. and Scandinavia, and her artworks are in permanent public art collections worldwide.
Goché received his Master of Architecture from Iowa State University and is senior lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design. He is co-investigator and author of "Guidelines for Spatial Regeneration in Iowa." His sculpture, titled "Water Hutch," was recently featured in Iowa Architect magazine.

In addition, The UNI Gallery of Art will continue to present the UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition titled "Masters at Mid-Century," which will run through Dec. 15.
All events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; noon to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday and by appointment.
