Labor relations and economics expert to speak at UNIBusiness Jepson Symposium

Francine D. Blau, the Frances Perkins Professor of Industrial and Labor Relations and Economics at Cornell University, will be the featured speaker at the University of Northern Iowa Jepson Symposium on March 28. Her public presentation, "Immigrants and Gender Roles: Assimilation vs. Culture" will be at 4:45 p.m. in the Curris Business Building, Room 320.

In addition to her position at Cornell, Blau is a research associate of the National Bureau of Economics Research in Cambridge, Mass.; a research fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn, Germany, and of the Center for Economic Studies/Ifo Institute in Munich, Germany; and a research professor at the German Institute for Economic Research in Berlin, Germany.
