The Return of The Texas Tenors

A Special Holiday Performance with the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony

Cedar Falls, IA, November 26, 2012 – The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony (WCFSO) will perform a special holiday concert with The Texas Tenors on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm in the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC).

Former finalists on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, The Texas Tenors are the highest-ranking vocal group in the show’s history. With their distinctive blend of opera, pop, and country music, John Hagen, Marcus Collins, and JC Fisher have become a global sensation performing more than 450 concerts in the last three years. The Tenors have collaborated with numerous symphonies including the Houston Symphony, Cleveland Pops, Kansas City Symphony, Austin Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, and Prague Philharmonic. They have performed for notable organizations such as the Van Cliburn Foundation, Autry Foundation, Conoco-Philips, Mutual of Omaha, Houston Rockets, Planet Hollywood Resort, Casino Las Vegas, MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort and Casino, Royal Caribbean International, and Pro Bull Riders World Championships.

The trio has traveled internationally including a 24-city tour of the UK and in 2013 will be touring in China. When not on tour, the Tenors can be found for extended runs for over 60 concerts each fall at The Starlite Theatre in Branson, Missouri where they were named 2011 Critic’s Choice Group of the Year and Ensemble of the Year.

Their debut album “Country Roots – Classical Sound” has the distinction of being the only independent album to be ranked #1 on both the Country and Classical charts, according to CD Baby. They also released a DVD in 2012, “The Texas Tenors Live in Concert.” Currently, they are working on releasing their second album “You Should Dream” featuring a 65-piece orchestra and original songs.

The Texas Tenors also volunteer extensively in their communities with projects such as Homes For Our Troops, Child Fund International, and The Mission Project. Trio member John Hagen is University of Northern Iowa School of Music alumnus and a Cedar Falls business owner.

Tickets start at $25 for adults. $1 Buck A Kid tickets are available for the matinee concert, and students may attend for $5. For tickets, call 319-273-4TIX or visit wcfsymphony.org. This concert is sponsored by Lincoln Savings Bank, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, KWAY Radio, and KWWL.
