UNI Interpreters Theater to present 'Clogging the System'
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa’s Interpreters Theatre will present "Clogging the System," at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, through Saturday, March 2, in the Interpreters Theatre in Lang Hall, Room 040. The play, conceived, written and directed by undergraduate honors student Harrison Postler, is set in the ubiquitous offices of corporate America and uncovers how deeply embedded shame is in our society.
When office members arrive at their new building to discover public toilets (not restrooms) they are forced to confront beliefs that have been ingrained within them since birth. Viewed through a satirical lens, the play takes many various twists and turns as it explores how people confront the things that make them uncomfortable.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7 p.m. Seating is limited, so guests should arrive early. Tickets are distributed at 6:30 p.m. on a first come, first served basis.
