CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Strayer-Wood Theatre will hold "First Friday" receptions following the first Friday performance of each of its productions this fall. Receptions will follow the 7:30 p.m. performance of "Lysistrata" on Oct. 5, and the 7:30 p.m. performance of "November" on Oct. 26 at the University of Northern Iowa.
"First Friday" is a tradition designed to celebrate the theater's successes, blend UNI alumni, professionals, students and Stage, Inc. members, and cultivate a community of supporters of the Strayer-Wood Theatre. Board members from Stage, Inc., the Strayer-Wood Theatre's Society of Theatrical Angels, Gallivants and Enthusiasts, Incorporated, will be on hand to greet guests and share the benefits of Stage, Inc. membership.
Tickets are $16 for adults and free for UNI students with their student ID. Advance purchase of tickets to the performance on all "First Fridays" is strongly encouraged. Tickets can be purchased from the Strayer-Wood Theatre lobby box office between noon and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The box office will be open one hour before curtain time.
