Volunteers Plant New Flowers in Downtown Cedar Falls

Come check out the new flowers in downtown Cedar Falls! The sidewalks of Main Street were a buzz with activity last week as numerous hands made light work of planting new perennials in the garden plots. A grant from John Deere funded the purchasing of the flowers, which will bloom next spring, continuing to bring vibrancy and beauty to the downtown district.

Community Main Street would like to express their appreciation to the many volunteers who helped with the planting and to those who spent countless hours watering the hanging baskets and potted plants that adorned the streets during the summer months. If you would like to donate time to help us water the plants and continue to keep downtown beautiful, please contact the Community Main Street office at 319-277-0213.
