Come join Kaplan
University’s Cedar Falls campus annual Community Safety Day.
This year’s event will begin with the Covenant Medical Center’s Air Care II
helicopter landing at 10:00 a.m. The State of Iowa will be checking child car
seat installations and providing resources to those that may be in need. The
Safety Day includes The National Guard, Red Cross (including an on-site blood
drive), DOT, Iowa State Patrol, local police (including SWAT vehicles) and fire
departments, Wheaton/Sartori Ambulance, pets from Waverly Pet Rescue, Black
Hawk County Emergency Management, CFU, Blue Zone, and a visit from the Waterloo
Bucks “Buck.” Q 92.3 will be broadcasting live. The event includes a FREE
Summer grill-out meal.
