He was transported to the Brain Trauma Unit at Iowa City Hospitals and Clinics on Monday night.

An 8-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the head at the recreational shooting range in the north part of Black Hawk Park, the Black Hawk County Sheriff's office said Monday.
David William Young, 8, was apparently shot while wandering in front of the firing line where another family member was actively engaged in target practice, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Officers were called to the Cedar Falls park at around 5:25 p.m., where sheriff's officials said they found Young with a gun shot wound to the head. He was being attended to by his mother and other people at the range when officers arrived.
