Earth Fair Activities Coming to Hartman Reserve in Cedar Falls
Earth Fair is a free event sponsored by Black Hawk County Conservation Board and the Friends of Hartman Reserve Nature Center.
On Sunday April 22nd, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. the Black Hawk County Conservation Board will be hosting it’s annual Earth Fair event at .
This free, family focused event will feature canoeing, kayaking, and fishing at Lake Manatt, DIY Camping Gear Hikes Environmental Education displays and exhibits, Crafts Recycling Education, composting information and worms, environmental service work, garbage collection, tree planting, and more. A silent auction will also be available.
You should consider bringing along a picnic lunch to participate in The Nature Conservancy’s “Picnic for the Planet”. For more information on “Picnic for the Planet” visit nature.org/earthday.
