Stress-less and Gluten Free Thanksgiving Dinner

Cooking has been known to be a stress-or for some and a stress reliever for others. I chose to part with the Thanksgiving tradition of working so hard the day of thanksgiving.

My father used to make our family Thanksgiving meals the "traditional way." I decided to take over that tradition for the first year. Then...

A friend that used to do catering gave me the following tip to make the Thanksgiving meal so much easier and enjoyable!

Seriously! Try it.

The Turkey

  • Bake the Gluten Free turkey the day before.
  • Take the meat off the bone.
  • Separate into white and dark meat. Put the meat back into the roaster.

The Gravy (Email me for the recipe I use 1outofthecorner@gmail.com.)

  • Make up the gravy and pour on top of the meat in the roaster.
  • Reheat the next day in a crock pot or in the oven.

Stuffing

I have a recipe to make minutes before the meal is served. (Email me at 1outofthecorner@gmail.com for the recipe.)

Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes/Squash

  • Make each of these dishes individually the day before and reheat the next day.
  • I have a recipe that I can make Gluten Free stuffing minutes before the meal is served.

Desserts

Yep, do the same thing. Crust-less is easiest, or be creative and make some Gluten Free crusted pies. Though not reheat-able the next day, your life will be so much easier. (Email me for a Pumpkin-Pecan Pie Recipe 1outofthecorner@gmail.com)

Then, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the blessings of family and friends.

Live well,
