Public's Help Needed in Unsolved Homicide

Law enforcement needs your help

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations is asking for help. On October 4th, 2012, the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check at 1091 240th Street in Nashua, Iowa. Upon arriving investigators found the body of Carl "Kenny" Gallmeyer. The State Medical Examiner ruled Gallmeyer's death a homicide. The cause of death is not being released at this time.

Law enforcement continue to investigate the homicide of Gallmeyer and believe his home was also burglarized at the time of his death. If you believe you unknowingly purchased or received stolen property belonging to Gallmeyer please contact law enforcement. This may include electronic items, tools or firearms from late September 2012 through early October 2012. Persons providing information regarding the property will not face prosecution.
