You are the #1 priority for the Holidays
When holidays are to be the happiest, they can hold this contagious form of stress, loneliness/loss, anger, and frustration. This can and does affect us emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
How do we 're-group', 're-focus', and 're-gain' the control?
Make time.
How do I get refocused? I find what I love and give myself permission to take care of myself.
During the wonderful warm months in Iowa, I practice going outside and walking barefoot on natural soil and untreated grass. This just grounds me to 'nature' and 're-sets' all the stresses and 're-focuses' me. It takes away all the influences of life's ups and downs.
Well, in Iowa when the temps are 30 degrees below zero or lower, it is a bit difficult to walk barefoot. And if there is snow, totally not happening!
When I make time for myself, I love to receive a Raindrop Therapy from my naturopath path, Hot Stone Massage(Click here to find out how heavenly these are) or whirlpool time.
- I love how my muscles just melt with the Hot Stone Massage. This makes it so much easier on the Massage Therapist to work with tight and tense muscles. (Click here to see who I have seen for the wonderful Hot Stone Massage.) I feel so warm, comfortable and majorly pampered!
- I love photography and enjoy being in the quiet and stillness as I wait to see what exciting creature will allow me to capture it. (My kind of hunting by the way.)
- If I am out and about and it starts snowing, particularly at night, I love to look up and think I am in a very special Snow Globe all for me!
I find that taking time for me helps me regain the hope to dream and focus on what I need for my best gluten free lifestyle.
What can you give yourself permission to do to 're-group' or 're-focus'? Would love to hear others ideas. Email me at 1outofthecorner@gmail.com.
Making time to pamper yourself is the best gift you can give yourself to maintain your life and help to bless others.
So, if you had just 1 1/2 hours to do something special for you what would that be?

Another fun thing for me to do at various times through the year is bake things and share them with others. What better time then at Christmas?
