Cedar Falls 2nd State Lane Closure

June 16, 2020

Starting Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 a private contractor will be closing the northbound lane on State Street in Cedar Falls for storm sewer related work. In order for the contractor to begin, a single lane closure of State Street and E. 2nd Street will be required. This lane closure will be in effect for approximately two (2) weeks, depending on the weather. A one way detour will be setup utilized eastbound traffic on 2nd Street turning southbound State Street. Access will be maintained to commercial and residential properties.

For safety’s sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth on the closed lane. It would be advisable to stay behind the sidewalk on the property side during the construction work.
