E 2nd Street Sidewalk Closure In Cedar Falls

October 10, 2020

Beginning October 12, the contractor will begin removal and replacement of the southern sidewalk of E 2nd Street (from Main Street to State Street). In order for the contractor to perform this work, a full sidewalk closure will be required.

With the sidewalk closed, all business and apartment access will be achieved through temporarily rocked access points, allowing for pedestrians to safely cross the closed sections of the sidewalk. In addition, the alleyway will have limited access from the south, as vehicular traffic will not be able to enter the alley from E 2nd Street. This work is expected to take two (2) to three (3) weeks, weather permitting.
