You are invited to Cedar Falls High School Robotics FIRST Team 525 Open House this Saturday, February 16, 2013, from 4:30-6:00 PM at Lincoln Elementary School, 321 West Eight St in Cedar Falls.
Students will demonstrate their newest robot built for this year’s FIRST Robotics Competition, ULTIMATE ASCENTSM and will explain more about FIRST Robotics, the game and FRC Team 525.
ULTIMATE ASCENTSM is played by two competing alliances on a flat, 27 x 54 foot field. Each Alliance consists of three robots, and they compete to score as many Frisbee discs into their goals as they can during a two (2)-minute and fifteen (15)-second match. Bonus points are awarded for climbing a pyramid a the end of the match.

The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges teams to solve a common problem in a six-week time frame using a standard "kit of parts" and a common set of rules. Teams build robots from the parts and compete in games designed by Dean Kamen, Dr. Woodie Flowers, and a committee of engineers and other professionals.
