Hearth Fest is a music and arts festival that benefits the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Monetary or non-perishable food donations are admission. Every dollar donated is worth $11.91 to the Food Bank. Last year about $3000 was raised through all of our efforts. Local visual and musical artists donate their talents and artwork. There’s a silent art auction, craft sale, acoustic music, poetry contests and kids activities throughout the day, including a kid’s poster art contest for prizes. There will be a “Karma Café” on site as well. Homemade pies like Grandma used to make and coffee will be served. Patrons pay what they can and/or donate time. All donations will go to the Elderly Nutrition Programs at the Food Bank. The Dean of Juggling will make an appearance in the afternoon. Insulated reusable bags and can cozies will be offered for sale. The Cedar Valley Acoustic Guitar Association musicians and others will play. The line up is below. This event is on a Sunday to showcase it as a fun family event.
