Language Teaching: Opportunities and Challenges

Leading scholars from the Unviersity of Minnesota, Unviersity of Iowa, Iowa State Unviersity, and the University of Northern Iowa will discuss issues in teaching second and foreign languages, including critical thinking activities, hybrid fromats, pronunciation strategies, and strategies for adapting language elarning to Native American language revival.


This roundtable event will begin at 4:30 on Monday, April 8, in Seerley Hall, Room 212 on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa. There will be time for discussion following the presentations.


"The event will offer valuable and practical ideas for those involved in language education," said Ardith Meier, professor of langauges and liteatures at UNI. "We are fortunate to welcome well-known language teaching scholars to our campus."
