Iowa Chairiots wheelchair basketball team will play at half time and after the womens game. Wear your white and come support the UNI Women's basketball team as they take on St. Louis!! Be sure to stay after the game to see some of your UNI athletes and sorority/fraternity members play in an adapted wheelchair basketball game against the Iowa Chariots! Please help us spread the word about this event, invite friends, and mark it on your calendars, we are really hoping for a big turn out!!!
There will be lots of different prizes given away during the game! Look for the ladies in the green shirts to get tickets from so you can write your name down for a chance to win! Some of the prizes we have so far include gift cards to various local businesses: Here's Whats Poppin', Candy Blossoms, Pizza Ranch, Spotlight Boutique, Carlos O' Kelly's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Famous Daves, Maple Lanes, Little Ceasears, and the Grand Prize... Free 30 minute airplane ride for up to 3 people through Livingston Aviation at the Waterloo Airport.
There will be places at the fundraising game to donate towards our SportAbility of Iowa group. You can also donate anytime during the year on our SportAbility of Iowa web site.

We are having a drawing for giveaways during the fundraiser game. The fundraiser game is free, and the drawings are free. We want as many people and families to come out and enjoy this game and the student and athletes who are giving of their time for our group. We will be posting a site you can go to and put your name in the drawing to be made at the game. People have to be present to get any items given away.
SportAbility of Iowa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering inclusive sports and recreation for individuals with physical disabilities. Their mission is to provide individuals with and without physical disabilities instruction and opportunities to participate in competitive and recreational sports with and without adapted sports equipment. The UNI Adapted Sports Camps mission is to give qualified young people, ages 2nd grade through high school, with various lower limb disabilities, good cognitive, good upper body strength, and good hand eye coordination, around the State of Iowa, an opportunity to participate in various types of athletic events using a sports wheelchair.

The Iowa Chairiots wheelchair basketball team organization has been around for about thirty years. Players from all over the state and some from UNI have played competitive and recreational basketball. They have played Division 2 NWBA ball in the past. They play during the year in the Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City area. They team up with other athletes to play competitive games in the Midwest. They also do fundraiser games for several schools and Universities and groups for different charities.
