How Far is Your Commute in Cedar Falls?
Iowans have among the shortest commutes in the country.
William Petroski at the Des Moines Register is reporting this morning that Iowans report having some of the shortest commutes in the country.
With an average of 19.1 minutes, Iowa is tied with Kansas for the seventh-fastest commute in the nation, according to the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey. North Dakota has the shortest at 16.1 minutes, while the national average is 25 minutes.
My guess is that the average commute in Cedar Falls is just slightly above average, with lots of locals heading to Waterloo each morning to work.
