La Crosse, WI, July 25, 2013 — Kwik Trip, Inc., the Wisconsin based chain of Convenience Stores, announced today that it will host a grand opening on Thursday, August 1st at 10:00 am, for its CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Kwik Star station in Cedar Falls, Iowa located at 7500 Nordic Drive.
Kwik Trip / Kwik Star has committed to developing a functional Compressed Natural Gas vehicle fuel infrastructure throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Currently, there are operational CNG locations in La Crosse, WI, Sturtevant, WI, Rochester, MN, Oshkosh, WI, Minnesota City, MN, Owatonna, MN, Pewaukee, WI, Sheboygan, WI, Grand Chute, WI Cedar Falls, IA and St. Michael, MN.
As a privately held company, Kwik Trip / Kwik Star has taken on the task to expand its fuel offerings using only its own internal resources and expertise. By bringing Natural Gas to the market, Kwik Trip / Kwik Star has positioned itself to provide a better, more affordable solution to the public. The company plans to expand availability throughout its current network of stores as well as building new locations. This will allow Kwik Trip / Kwik Star to provide the best and most functional Natural Gas Vehicle fueling infrastructure possible.

Kwik Trip / Kwik Star believes in order to be successful they need to drive both Natural Gas Vehicle adaptation and simultaneously build a functional infrastructure for their guests. Kwik Trip / Kwik Star will leverage its vertical integration model to help foster the growth of NGV use in its market. With their own distribution fleet, Convenience Transportation, the company travels 18 million miles on an annual basis and already has over 30 natural gas vehicles in the fleet.
On August 1st, members of the Kwik Trip / Kwik Star Alternative Fuels Team, along with the Iowa Clean Cities Coalition, will be on site for the event which features fueling demonstrations for Natural Gas Vehicles. There will be a wide variety of CNG powered vehicles on display.
