Mega Millions Numbers Don't Bring Jackpot to Cedar Falls, But You Could Still be a Winner

When the Mega Millions numbers went up yesterday, the hopes of many in Cedar Falls came crashing down.
The Associated Press reports that the winners were in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland. They earned a split of the world record-breaking $640 million Mega Millions jackpot by picking 02-04-23-38-46, and the Mega Ball, 23. Megaplier: 3.
Check your numbers, though. KCCI reports that more than 108,000 Iowans have winning tickets worth between $2 and $10,000.

An estimated $1.5 million in tickets were purchased in Iowa for the Mega Millions drawing.
At one point in Iowa on Friday evening, 5,000 tickets were being sold every minute, the station reported.
