Nature Tales Story Hour

Gather up your preschoolers and head to Hartman Reserve
Nature Center for a
sweet story time! The book of the day will be Maple Syrup Season by Ann Purmell.
Hartman Naturalists have put together a fun morning of activities and invite
your favorite 3- 5 year-olds to join them.
Following the story the children will see if they can find one of the
sugar maple trees with a sap bucket.  Be sure to wear warm clothes and snow boots! The
preschoolers and their adult buddy will learn how sap is boiled until it turns
into maple syrup by visiting Hartman’s very own Sugar Shack.  After helping with the sap buckets, the group
will be rewarded with a sweet dessert!

Nature Tales is geared towards children ages 3-5, but siblings are
welcome.  A suggested donation of $2/child will help cover the cost of
supplies.
 Nature Tales is
intended to be a time for both children and adults to learn about the planet together.
