New Staff Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa
New staff members Angela Orr and Abby Bouska join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa serves over 530 youth each year in Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Fayette and Floyd. Counties. The agency is proud to announce the creation of two new positions as a result of receiving funding from the Iowa Attorney General’s Crime Victim Assistance Division.
Abby Bouska will serve as the Program Manager of Fayette and Buchanan Counties. Abby is originally from Oelwein and graduated from Loras College with a Bachelor’s in Public Relations. After earning her degree, Abby relocated to Prairie du Chien, WI for three years while directing two Iowa childcare centers. She is very excited to move back to Oelwein to begin Big Brothers Big Sisters’ new mentoring program in Fayette & Buchanan that will reach kids facing adversity in need of a mentor. Abby enjoys being outside, sewing, crafts, and spending time with friends, family, and her beagle.
Angela Orr will serve as a Match Support Specialist for Black Hawk County. Angela will support over 80 Big/Little matches and will coordinate a new specialty program for refugee youth. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. Angela chose social work for her career path because she loves helping others and it only takes one positive person to make a difference in someone’s life. Angela has experience working with disabled individuals, family support, elderly, and youth. She loves to volunteer in the community and currently serves on the ASPIRE Therapeutic Riding Program Board, Community Partners for Protecting Children Committee, and the Adverse Childhood Experiences Pilot Program for Black Hawk County. Angela has also been a Big Sister for the past two years and she enjoys watching her Little Sister grow through shared experiences.
