"We welcome the 41st Annual Iowa Shrine Bowl toΒ town! A special Movies Under the Moon showing ofΒ Rudy is planned for Wednesday, July 24, at OvermanΒ Park, so bring your lawn chair and enjoyΒ this free show starting at dusk. A paradeΒ will also take place downtown on MainΒ Street on Saturday, beginning atΒ 9:30am, and the big football game is atΒ the UNI-Dome starting at 4pm. "The 136th Annual Iowa State Trap Shoot is also inΒ Cedar Falls Wednesday, July 24 thru Sunday, JulyΒ 28. This century old event is one of the biggest state shootΒ in the nation, attracting trap shooters from as far away asΒ Australia to test their skills against others and compete forΒ top honors. "The 92nd Annual Cedar Falls Bible Conference willΒ take place at Riverview Conference Center July 27Β thru August 4. Enjoy nine days of inspired bible teachings,Β concerts, worship, fellowship and fun. All conference sessions, including concerts are open to all who wish to attendΒ at no charge. JulyΒ 24:Β Cedar Valley Chamber Music Festival,Β 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.Β 
CafΓ© Γ‰lan. Held at the Waterloo Elks Club, this concert will feature a pre-concert dinner and a concert for dessert with the works Debussy, Ravel and Farrenc.

July 23 - 28:Β Black Hawk County 4-H/FFA Fair, National Cattle Congress
The Black Hawk County 4-H and FFA Fair highlights work of 4-H youth and FFA in the county. Exhibits and project entries include livestock and non-livestock projects from youth ages 5 years and older. Visit www.extension.iastate.edu for all fair activities. The fair was awarded the 2012 β€œBlue Ribbon Fair” Award by the Board of Directors of the Association of Iowa.

JulyΒ 26:Β Social Security - The Comedy, Oster Regent Theatre,Β July 26, 27, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. andΒ August 4 at 2 p.m.
Social SecurityΒ is a play by Andrew BergmanΒ that focuses on trendy Manhattan art gallery owners Barbara and David Kahn, whose life is upended when her Mineola housewife sister Trudy deposits their eccentric mother Sophie on the couple's doorstep while she and her husband Martin head to Buffalo to rescue their sexually precocious college student daughter from a menage a trois with two men. Barbara and David introduce Sophie to suave nonagenarian artist Maurice Koenig, who offers to paint her portrait and soon begins to brighten her life in ways she never expected in her twilight years.

JulyΒ 26:Β Live to 9 - SnozzberriesΒ 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Live to 9 concert series isΒ presented by the Cedar Falls Jaycees and the Cedar Basin Jazz Festival.
