Third Time's (Not) A Charm For Woman Charged With Theft, Trespass: Cedar Falls Police Blotter

A woman whom Cedar Falls police said walked away twice with hundreds of dollars of stolen merchandise from was arrested after an alleged third theft from the Cedar Falls store on Thursday.

Debra Ann Auringer, 57, female, of Floyd, was arrested at 12:46 p.m. May 17 at Von Maur and charged with three counts third degree theft and one count of criminal trespass.

She was allegedly caught stealing $759 worth of merchandise from the store on Thursday. She had allegedly been seen stealing more than $300 worth of merchandise from Von Maur on two separate occasions in the past, but police were never able to arrest her for those incidents.

Auringer was charged with criminal trespass because police said she had been banned from the store in 2003.
