VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities ~
• Assist children in discovering how people kept warm during the winter through the years at both the Grout and the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museums. Activities exist December 26 through 31 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Volunteer for various shifts. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
• Volunteers are needed to help de-decorate the Mallard Point Retirement community from Christmas on December 30 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Volunteers may come and go as they are available.
• LifeServe Blood Center and Mix 93.5 are teaming up to save lives at the Pay It Forward Holiday Blood Drive at Crossroads Center in Waterloo. Volunteers are needed to help in the canteen/refreshment area between 12:30 - 6:00 p.m. on December 30. Volunteers age 16 and over may serve in 1-2 hour shifts.
• Volunteers will work with trained Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity site supervisors building homes with families in need. No construction experience is necessary. Volunteers age 18 and over are needed on January 4 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
