• Female volunteers will work with trained Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity site supervisors building homes with families in need on May 10 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for the 7th National Women Build Week. No construction experience is necessary, although training is offered on April 30 and May 1. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
• Assist the staff at the Imaginarium to guide the Girl Scouts as they discover what it means to be a scientist or an inventor. Volunteers are needed on May 10 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
• Volunteers are needed to assist UNI’s Center for Multicultural Education in hosting the event "Walk MS: Cedar Falls/Waterloo Walk 2014" to be held on Saturday, May 17 from 8:00 a.m. until noon at the University of Northern Iowa. Volunteers will be stationed at various points throughout campus to provide information and aid walkers. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
• Side walkers and horse leaders are needed for Horseback Riding Lessons weekly at the ASPIRE Therapeutic Riding Program. Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Volunteers age 14 and over are needed.
