- The Grout Museum District needs volunteers to help as Museum School Assistants on October 16, 23, and 30 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
- The Family & Children's Council is looking for volunteers October 18 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to set-up, tear down, and aid in the silent and live auctions for their annual fundraising event. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
- The Waterloo Community Playhouse / Black Hawk Children’s Theatre is looking for volunteers to assist in the Costume Rental Shop during extended Halloween hours helping people find the perfect costume. Hours are October 21 – 25 and 28 – 31 from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. and October 26 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
- Pathways Behavioral Services is hosting the 10th annual 5k on Saturday, October 26 from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with set up, taking registrations, pointing runners/walkers in the right direction, helping at the finish line or cleaning up after the event. Volunteers age 14 and over are welcome.
