- Museum Madness is a special event held October 26 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Grout Museum of History & Science and the Bluedorn Science Imaginarium. Volunteers will assist children with fun Zombie and Halloween activities. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome
- Pathways Behavioral Services is hosting the 10th annual 5k on Saturday, October 26 from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with set up, taking registrations, pointing runners/walkers in the right direction, helping at the finish line or cleaning up after the event. Volunteers age 14 and over are welcome.
- The Waterloo Community Playhouse / Black Hawk Children’s Theatre is looking for volunteers to assist in the Costume Rental Shop during extended Halloween hours helping people find the perfect costume. Hours are October 21 – 25 and 28 – 31 from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. and October 26 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
- Volunteers age 18 and over are needed to provide assistance with Salvation Army clients as they fill out Christmas Assistance applications for the upcoming holiday season. Volunteers are needed November 4 – 8 and 11 – 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 18 – 22 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
