• Hartman Reserve Nature Center needs volunteers to help with costumes, skits, leading groups, selling tickets, and serving treats on October 9 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
• UnityPoint Health - Waterloo / UnityPoint Hospice is offering an opportunity to learn more about serving hospice patients and their families. Volunteers offer companionship, comfort, respite, and office assistance. Orientation will be held on four consecutive Thursday mornings starting on October 10, from 8:30 a.m. until noon. An interview is necessary prior to October 10. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
• RSVP is looking for volunteers to assist with the AARP Tax Program. Training will be January 6, 7, and 8. Volunteers must work two half days, or one full day a week from February 3 through April 15. Services are provided Monday through Thursday. Volunteers should register for training by November 1. Volunteers age 55 and over are welcome.
• The University Of Northern Iowa Center For Urban Education (UNI-CUE) is looking for tutors to provide one-on-one tutoring sessions for 1.5 hours each week during the fall and spring semesters. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
