- The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to assist as Bell Ringers. Opportunities exist Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. November 8 – December 24. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
- The Grout Museum District needs volunteers to assist as an Assistant for Club Fetch the second Saturday of each month, November 9, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
- Waterloo Community Schools is in need of Prime Time Volunteers to volunteer 1-2 hours a week as a Reading Buddy to children in 1st grade who are participating in the Reading Recovery program. Volunteers age 55 and over are needed once per week during the school day.
- Waterloo Convention and Visitor's Bureau needs volunteers to greet airport passengers by providing visitor information, maps, and assistance with in city travel. Various shifts available 7 days a week based on arriving and departing airline schedule. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
