The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to assist as Bell Ringers. Opportunities exist Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. November 8 – December 24. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
The Grout Museum District needs volunteers to assist the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans 5th Anniversary Event. Volunteers are needed as Door Greeters, Event Floaters, Table Bussers, Promotional Assistant, Silent Auction volunteers, Raffle volunteers, and Cork Pull Assistants. Volunteers age 16 and over are needed November 16, in the evening. Shift times vary by position.
Waterloo Healthy Lifestyles Center is in need of volunteers age 18 and over to deliver hot meals to homebound, frail, and elderly residents in Waterloo.
Western Home Communities has volunteer openings available for those who enjoy crafting. Teens over the age of 13 are welcome to apply, younger students are welcome with an adult. Volunteers need to possess patience and a willingness to work with an older population.
