• The Volunteer Long Term Care Ombudsman will carry out the duties described in the Older Americans Act. Volunteers will be assigned to a local facility and monitored by the program coordinator. Spend 3-5 hours per month in unannounced and varied visits to residents on any day of the week. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and training will be required.
• The Boys and Girls Club of Cedar Valley needs volunteers for their annual mentoring bowling night. Adults will be paired with a child from the Club. Adults will bowl with a child from the Club from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on January 29. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
• Volunteers will work with trained Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity site supervisors building homes with families in need. No construction experience is necessary. Volunteers age 18 and over are needed on February 1 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
• The Grout Museum District needs volunteers to assist with Club Fetch on February 8 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
