QC Senior Expo connects seniors to area resources (ourquadcities.com) — Seniors and caregivers in Davenport can explore dozens of local services at the QC Senior Expo, returning to the Golden Leaf Banquet Center on East Kimberly Road on Friday, September 25. With 53 area businesses and organizations offering free information on healthcare, housing, finances, and more, the event aims to be a one-stop resource hub for older adults and their families.
2. 3 scam reports in Davenport for week ending Aug. 15, 2026 (riverbendtimes.com) — Davenport logged three scam reports for the week ending August 15, matching the previous week, with at least $294 in reported losses, according to the Better Business Bureau. Residents can use BBB's Scam Tracker to research local fraud patterns and anonymously share their own experiences to help neighbors avoid similar schemes.
3. St. Ambrose students help with painting crosswalks on the Hilltop (wqad.com) — Colorful new crosswalks are being painted in Davenport's Hilltop Campus Village to boost pedestrian safety and neighborhood pride, with St. Ambrose students rolling on the paint. The Davenport nonprofit behind the project hopes brighter streets will slow traffic, protect student pedestrians, and strengthen connections among residents in the area they call home.
4. Davenport Junior Theatre prepares for milestone 75th season (wqad.com) — Davenport Junior Theatre is gearing up for its 75th season, with free main-stage productions and expanded classes now split between its historic theater and new Kimberly Road campus. New managing artistic director Jessica Sheridan is emphasizing accessibility and "theatre for kids, by kids," including a Percy Jackson musical in February and Shakespeare in May, plus special anniversary events for families and alumni.
