• Award-Winning Documentary, 'Lost Nation,' Screening At Davenport's Putnam Museum (quadcities.com) — Davenport residents can catch the award-winning documentary "Lost Nation: The Ioway 2" at the Putnam Museum this Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. The screening supports the new "Legacy of Land" exhibit, which explores historic treaties, including the Black Hawk Treaty that helped lead to Davenport's founding and still shapes the region today.
• TV6 Investigates: Metro Flock cameras logging millions of vehicles a month (kwqc.com) — Davenport currently operates 10 Flock license‑plate cameras that recorded over 251,000 vehicle detections and 291 police searches in a single month, feeding into a nationwide database. This investigation compares Davenport's smaller system to Bettendorf's 65 cameras, highlights growing privacy concerns, and notes nearby agencies like Moline and Henry County dropping Flock after public pushback and an abuse investigation.
• Safer Foundation Quad Cities Expands Regional Reach While Preparing Youth Program for Its Next Chapter (rcreader.com) — A Davenport-based Safer Foundation youth program is preparing to move from its current Davenport Community School District space while continuing to serve local students needing alternative education and workforce support. At the same time, the Quad Cities team is expanding services across nearby counties and gearing up for a Trivia Night fundraiser to sustain education, employment, and second-chance programming for Davenport and regional residents.
